                                          Starting at Madhya kailash in Adyar, it reaches up to Mahabalipuram, a 30 km straight journey accompanied by blistering heat on chennai's summer days.Built primarily to connect more IT companies, OMR is an IT corridor and home to myriad of IT companies.I am working at one of them and hence riding on OMR has become a routine to me.

                                           OMR rider , our office bus, takes us to watch the butterflies at siruseri (Butterflies@Siruseri@Chennai) daily.Using a car , you need to pay a high toll amount (Rs.38) plus the petrol expenditure  and using a bike , you need to face rash driving of fellow bikers plus the petrol expenditure, which makes the OMR rider the most preferable rider on OMR.

                                          I ride on the bus making sure a bottle of water is always in my bag to face Shollinganallur signal, the thirst creator,sweat generator,temper provoker and traffic blocker signal.On my way a flurry of restaurants capture my attention.Nalas appakadai,Simran aapakadai(these appakadais also serve briyani's and stuff!) ,Server Sundaram restaurant,Barbeque,Pizza corner,adupankarai restaurant and so on kindling my dream of starting a restaurant.

                                           If restaurants bubble up , it is primarily because of the IT companies.Tata Consultancy Services,Cognizant Technology Solutions,HCL,Accenture,Wipro technologies,Polaris and many more line up symbolizing chennai's open embrace of globalization.And no wonder real estate has found a himalayan growth with my favourites Hiranandani (Hiranandani @ mumbai) establishing their typical yellowish buildings nearby my office location.

                                           When i joined my office at siruseri i regretted that i stay at Velacheri and need to travel for an hour to reach office, to which my manager replied 'Its a short route!' .The symbols SR in my bus pass confirm that.Colleagues take the pain of even travelling for more than 2 hours one-way to reach office and my regret appears meaningless.

                                            To this OMR i have found a special attachment which made me create a facebook page(Old Mahabalipuram Road facebook page) and a website(OMR chennai)(under development) and would be very glad to receive your feedback and suggestions.
